Hey guy's I know we need to get to stepping for our next event and we want you to be a part of it all. So lets get the ball rolling with the charities we could raise money for. After we get a few, we will get a poll put up so everyone can vote for their favorite.

I have always thought that the Get-Well Gamers Foundation is really cool. Their mission is to help sick children by giving them video games to play while they are in the hospital. It's to give them something fun to do that they really enjoy. I know if I were in the hospital I would probably want some games too. Below is a link to their site. www.get-well-gamers.org/

Stopglobalwarming.org Global Warming is going to kill us all if we don't do anything about it I Once made one called the make me richer foundation, maybe we should donate to that/cough cough its a bit too late for that it basically was announced a year ago that if we dont do anything we ded...pluss about four or five years ago in 3rd grade my teachr was a btch YET she was over obsessive about the enviorment and tought us alot about global warming and back then it was said to be about 33 years til the heat becomes unbareable nad now its droped down to like 10 years or something~ its mad crazy we can't reverse it as much as you think, but we can slow and even (dare i say it) stop it? but due to the economy and the ammount of stubbern people out there, there's no way were going to stop it...believe it or not i know atleast two people and one parent YES A PARENT who refuse to believe in global warming and they say its all "fake and a scheme to spend our money" but the evidence is there in every day life... teh world is over...and all i ever loved in my short life was Radel Girl <3 Its the end of the world as we know it~

So the blood all went to my stomach and made me sick)... but it's still a good idea. ^.^ Personally, I think we should do a donation to a breast/lung cancer foundation, in which the Returners stop smoking for the whole marathon (and hopefully after that).

We'll certainly see about that. But I can't promise anything on the quitting altogether after the marathon's over.

That sounds like a good idea. Who will snap first? I can see it now: everyone cursing at each other from lack of nicotine. Awesome!

So, I was at the grocery store today and at the register was a sign for this organization: thetrufoundation.org/index2.aspThat'd prolly be a really good thing to donate to, since there are just so many people suffering from depression. (I know a LOT of people with it actually)

We should change this thread name to charity suggestions.
Anyway, Make a wish foundation grants wishes to people who are in trouble. Maybe we can do that for the retro RPG.
Make me richer foundation is still in the air...

We could also donate to a charity that supports protecting abused children. Idk of one off-hand, but I'm sure it's around the internet somewhere. Plus the fact that it's really hard to catch an adult abusing a child, and even when they ARE caught, the kids are rarely saved because of the cost of doing so. It's really ridiculous actually. I had to write a research paper on it, and the whole subject was just soooo frustrating because of all the bad things that happen to children.
