It's time for this marathon to get its own post! This coming March 5th-8th will see the Returners coming back to The Legend of Zelda in celebration of one year in action! We'll be going a bit over the 72 hour mark in order to make up for the time lost during the Final Fantasy marathon, so Z-Day II will be running for 79 hours! We're also going to be thinking of some spiffy things to do during the marathon and hope to raise a good deal of money for our charity of choice. That being said, here's the current breakdown of the marathon:
We will be raising money for Doctors Without Borders (www.doctorswithoutborders.org/ this time around. We had hoped to raise money for the American Cancer Society but a few problems came up on that front and we're hoping to have all of that sorted out in time for one of the other 2010 marathons. A little closer to the event we'll be putting up the ChipIn (likely in January or February). We will also begin the promotion siege around that time, though anyone that wants to spread the word sooner than that is more than welcome to.
As most of you probably already know, we've got a sponser for this marathon in Mana Potions (www.manapotions.com/). That's all kinds of awesome and we're happy to have them helping us out, so a big thanks goes to the guys over there at ManaPotions.com. However we're not content with just one sponser! If anyone here can think of anyone else we should contact about working together during this marathon please let us know as soon as possible.
The current game list, order of play, and current tentative player list is as follows:
If we can find someone that has a copy of Spirit Tracks and is willing to practice that game like mad, we may well include it on the game list.
Credit for the awesome forums banner goes to Signia! A big thanks to him for making that. We'll have the site banner up as soon as possible. That's all for right now, hope we see everyone and many more this March.
